Message I would just like to say thank you to SilverTwin(OH) and Brett for doing
the work on my 1990 300zx na.

The work was done in Hamilton Ohio and I am in Northern KY. It was
worth the drive. Just having someone with knowledge about the Z do the
work was great. AAmco and Mr. Transmission had two different stories
for me, but Brett was right on. You dig?

Here are the parts he put on for me
Exedy Clutch (Slightly used)
Fidanza Flywheel (Slightly used)
New OEM Throw-out bearing
New OEM Rear main seal
New OEM Pivot Ball
New Clutch slave

My Z has been sitting for about a month and a half. She was a bitch to
drive up to Hamilton relying on RPM shifting only! After the work was
done, and money paid, she was roaring to go.
She is a 17 year old car now with a replaced engine. Approx. 146K miles
on the chasey and 50K on the engine.

There was a definite difference in the acceleration. I was driving her
home and as expected people always pull up on my ass provoking me to
throw down, but I restrained myself.

But when a new Dodge Charger SRT8 came up on me and tailgated me
my freakin' heart raced. I felt that old familiar adrenaline rush and my
palms went cold.
I drooped the Z into 3rd and she acceleration better than ever. The
Charger kept up (of course) I then went into 4th and was beginning to
pull away??!! I thought this guy was just playing.

I was blocked in by another car in front of me in the passing lane. The
charger came up on me again. he then drove beside me but could not
pass. I saw that his girl was in the seat beside him. My old parts from the
install where in the seat beside me.

The Charger got in back of me again as a opening was available for me
go. I dropped her into 3rd again and began to pull away just slightly as
the Dodge was drafting me. I would say I pulled away at least
5 to 6 car lengths.

Then we had to slow down. I saw an opening in the middle lane and an
opening exposed itself to the Charger a half second earlier. He zoomed
passed and I acceleration to chase. Once I hit 4th again I slightly started
to gain on him. It was free and clear for both of us to keep on.

I actually caught up to him! I drove beside him and we were neck and
neck. Right around 110mph I began to place a half car length ahead. His
governor must have kicked in because his engine fluttered and I shot
passed at 125mph + in 4th gear. Luckily I have an Ash ECU with the
Speed Limiter removed! I then popped into 5th and I was gone with
more mph to spare. This manly display was over. I had the bigger
cahoonas, and left him probably embarrassed as hell with his gall in the
seat. YES!!

I was really amazed at what had just transpired. Shaken but not stirred.
I do not normally condone this stupid display of carelessness on the road
but the Z Witch was calling to be exploited. Was this really possible that I
shut down a crappie heavy Dodge SRT8 family car? I believe he is
packing about 425hp! Must have been an automatic.

I know this was an SRT8 because of the badge on the car and the hood
scoop. I put a picture of the model in this post. It looked exactly like
that.

Here is what I have on my 1990 300zx na manual:
In order of installation.

Stillen Air intake.
ECU upgrade (By Ash)
Toyo Tires (best I found for stock wheels)
Stillen Headers
Greg Dupree Cats
Stilled Cat back Exhaust
Exedy TT Clutch (modified bell housing and Starter shim by Brett)
Fidanza Flywheel

Not sure what real horse power I have but it apparently was enough!

I also shut down a Z28 1 minute afterwards. Not worth even talking
about. :P

Never do this. I admit it was VERY stupid.
